German Integration Course with Literacy
The German Integration Course with Literacy comprises a language course and an orientation course. The language course first teaches you the Latin alphabet; you learn to read and write this alphabet. You are introduced to systematic learning and practise various learning strategies. The small class sizes of up to 12 people ensure that the teaching is based on your individual needs and requirements.
Later, the language course addresses key topics from day-to-day life such as shopping, eating & drinking, living, health and work. You learn to write letters and emails, to read newspapers, to make telephone calls, to tell the doctor about your health, and lots more. Role plays and rounds of discussions give you the opportunity to improve your speaking skills.
The language course comprises a basic language course, which encompasses levels A1 and A2, as well as an advanced language course to reach level B1. Regular vocabulary and text production tests, as well as two internal interim tests (A1 and A2), help you to assess what you have learned and your skills. The course concludes with the accredited telc examination „German test for immigrants“ (A2/B1).
You attend the orientation course alongside the language course. Here you learn important information about the German legal system, history and culture. You learn about your rights and obligations inGermany, and discuss values that are important inGermany, for example equality and freedom of religion. At the end of the orientation course you take part in a final examination.
