German courses

Our language courses are based around the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which makes it possible to measure and compare linguistic competence across Europe. The reference framework distinguishes six different levels. A grading test is available to help you find the right language course for you. Each language course ends with an accredited final examination, for which you receive a graded certificate.

Our language training works towards the language examinations in a systematic and targeted manner. The teaching staff utilise contemporary teaching methods, the latest textbooks and modern technology and media. We can address your individual needs and requirements in the very best way through private lessons. This is also achieved in group lessons thanks to the internal differentiation.

All four areas of competence, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing, are trained. As language serves above all else for communication purposes, we place special value on the improvement of your speaking skills. Furthermore, we also believe it is important to teach intercultural competence. We help you to expand your repertoire of learning strategies, and promote your active, independent learning.

Some courses see the language lessons be complemented with diverse excursions. For example, you can get to know the city ofMünstertogether with the group; be it at the farmers‘ market, in the museum or in one of the many cosy cafés. Students from the youth courses generally visit one of the large cities in the Ruhrregion.

The quality of the teaching at the German Language Academy – Deutschen Sprachenakademie is regularly assessed by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
